S&W Construction has teamed with Austin’s most experienced and innovative architects, designers and craftsman to ensure that each project is completed on-time and to the satisfaction of the homeowner. Our work consistently exceeds the expectation of the homeowner's and architects.
Partners Ford Strei and Patrick Welsome have over 60 years of construction experience between them and realize it's the small details, personalization and integrity of the work, that transform a custom house into a beautiful home.

Ford Strei
FORD STREI - has lived in Austin since 1975 and has been in the construction business almost as long. Ford went to high school at Lanier High and attended college in Austin before finding his passion in carpentry work. He began his career doing interior cabinetry and finish work and slowly progressed to remodels and large additions. In 1991, Ford partnered with Patrick Welsome to become general contractors and together they started S&W Construction. Ford wears many hats and works primarily on estimating, project management, client relations and 'finish-out' although, he is involved with every aspect of each job, to some extent.

Patrick Welsome
PATRICK WELSOME - moved to Austin from Fort Collins Colorado in 1978 after attending Colorado State University. He began working as a framing carpenter in the late 1970's and gained experience in remodeling and trim carpentry in later years. In 1991, he partnered with Ford Strei to become general contractors and together they started S&W Construction. Patrick manages and supervises the early building stages including site prep, foundation and framing. He may be best known for his 'get it done' work ethic and insistence for perfection on the job.
